6:00pm - Visitation teams meet in Student Building

5:30pm - Student Building opens for pizza & drinks, games, and hang out.

Welcome to the First Baptist Chipley- Because of One Student Ministry web site. This site is designed to help you stay up to speed with the latest news, events, and ministry opportunities. It is our desire here at BCof1 student ministries to reach students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the faithful preaching of God's word, spirit-filled worship, and opportunities to plug in.

We know life can be crazy busy at times, but we must remember to keep our eyes focused on Christ and his leadership in our lives!

Meet your youth leaders!

Dave Hingson- Minister to Students

Dave has been with FBC Student Ministries since January 1, 2006. His passion is building relationships with any student who opens the door to true discipleship in Jesus Christ. Dave married his wife Heather in July of 2001. They have a daughter, Autumn, whom they adopted in June of 2001. Dave is a native of Bonita Springs, FL. He received his B.A. in Leadership from the Baptist College of Florida in 2006. Prior to coming to FBC, Dave had the opportunity to serve at Damascus Baptist Church in Graceville and FBC Bonita Springs. Dave is excited about what God is doing at BCof1 Student Ministries. He is excited to see what God still has in store!

Ellis Wimberly- Associate Minister of Music

Ellis has led worship for the students at FBC Chipley since August of 2003. In November of 2006 he was added to the FBC Chipley ministerial staff as Associate Minister of Music. He truly has a passion in leading spirit-filled worship before our awesome God. Ellis is a native of Chiefland, FL. He received his B.A. in Church Music from the Baptist College of Florida in 2001. Among many other accomplishments, Ellis has recently completed a music project that can be seen and heard at www.myspace.com/elliswimberlymusic.

Matt Sawyer - Middle School Ministry

Matt has recently been added to the FBC staff as an intern. In 2003 he answered God's call to student ministry and moved to Graceville Florida to attend The Baptist College of Florida. Oh yeah, he drove from Illinois (12 hours). Matt and his wife were married on May 21, 2005. God blessed them with a beautiful baby girl, Addison Rose, on November 24, 2008 . Despite all of the excitement and busy schedule, Matt is not far from completing his studies at BCF. He is pursuing a degree in Christian Studies. He knows he is blessed to be able to serve God with a great staff at FBC. He is excited to see God mold and shape the students into who He wants them to be.
